Job Description We are seeking dedicated and safety-oriented Flaggers to work in outdoor environments supporting roadway construction and maintenance projects. This role is vital for ensuring the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians by managing traffic flow around active work zones. Responsibilities Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to maintain safe movement through work zones. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades according to company and state standards. Monitor road and worksite conditions and adjust traffic control patterns as needed to ensure safety. Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public to coordinate safe operations. Stand for extended periods and remain attentive throughout the shift, regardless of weather conditions. Essential Skills Strong situational awareness and communication skills. Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather. Ability to remain calm and professional with the public. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Steel toe boots required/composite boots that come above the ankle. Traffic Control certification (or willingness to obtain one). Prior flagging or construction experience is a plus but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position requires working 100% outdoors on active construction jobs, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Work hours are typically 8-10 hours a day. Orientation takes place in Canonsburg, and employees are dispatched daily from their homes using an app. PPE is provided, but employees need to have their own steel toe boots.
