Assists with the performance of roadway and right-of-way maintenanceOperates 6- and 12-yard dump trucksInspects and performs routine maintenance on equipmentAssists with the set up and maintenance of traffic control signs and barricades in compliance with the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD)Performs basic computer skills including, but not limited to, checking email and electronic timekeepingUnder close supervision, enters data into the roadway asset management systemProvides assistance during emergency events (i.e. flooding, ice storm, etc.)Transports equipment, supplies and/or materials in light to medium trucksComplies with departmental and county safety standardsCommunicates effectively with the public and other employeesAttends all meetings and trainings, as required.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Indoor and outdoor work in all environments, including inclement weatherIndividuals may be exposed to heat, cold, loud noise, dust and hazardous chemicals

Job Description:
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of related work experienceWorking knowledge of specific job-related technologyMust have a valid state drivers licenseMust be able to read, write and speak theEnglish LanguagePhysical Demands:
Position involves stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, climbing, driving and lifting up to 100 pounds.Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Indoor and outdoor work in all environments, including inclement weatherIndividuals may be exposed to heat, cold, loud noise, dust and hazardous chemicals
Special Certifications and Licenses:
