Job Description

The CDL Yard Dog Driver moves semi-trailers within the UPS World Port facility. This position requires operating a Yard Dog and a 53' trailer in a secure, high‑traffic environment that includes other moving vehicles and aircraft.

Required:
Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid CDL - Class A Must have a Passenger Endorsement No high school diploma, GED or college degree required One (1) year of prior work experience as a CDL Class A Driver is required
  • Inspect vehicles for preexisting damage and record information using electronic device or manual ticket
  • Communicate with customers via radio
  • Relocate 53' semi-trailers within UPS World Port
  • Demonstrates proficiency, confidence, and efficiency in safely maneuvering and backing trailers across various operational environments
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and any guests
  • Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Refuel vehicle
  • Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting vehicle after each use
  • Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards
