Job Description

The Part-Time Transit Operator is responsible for safely operating county vehicles along designated routes, assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, maintaining accurate records of ridership and schedules, and ensuring vehicles are clean and well-maintained. Operators provide courteous, professional service while adhering to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and county policies. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to supporting the transportation needs of the community. Employee will work in coordination with departmental staff to assist those in the community with a transportation need. The primary areas of involvement are transporting clients to and from destinations such as medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores etc. Reports, logs and inspection sheets are filled out daily on the services provided each client. Valid driver's license is required
