This position offers comprehensive training in robotic welding technology, allowing you to develop specialized skills in machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols. What You'll Do The main job of this position is to run our cobot welding cell; you'll load parts into fixtures, teach and run weld programs, and make sure finished weldments meet customer specs. You'll read travelers and blueprints, keep an eye on weld quality and flag any problems. Start-up and shut-down of the welding cell. Spot and fix common welding problems as they come up (wire feed, gas flow, arc issues) Use weld gauges, tape measure, calipers, grinders, basic hand tools and forklift. Ensure welds are placed accurately and to spec. Check part quality and let supervisor know if something is off. Follow all safety rules and procedures. Keep area clean and perform routine operator maintenance. Pitch in with other tasks as needed. What We're Looking For No welding or robot experience needed•we train. Any manufacturing, shop, or hands-on mechanical background is a plus. Good attendance•ability to have a flexible schedule. This is a critical department and consistent attendance is absolutely necessary. Able to lift and position 21 lb parts repeatedly through a full shift, and work in a hot, loud shop environment. Comfortable with basic math and measuring tools. Basic computer or touchscreen skills. Someone who works safely and keeps a good pace. Detail-oriented and good at following written steps. Works well with others or on your own.
