Compactor Repair Technician

• Anchorage AK
• . In this position you will do many things, but main duties will include welding, fabricating and compactor repair. This is a full-time, long-term position with a great company. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty and are a self-motivated, hardworking individual with good communication skills, we want to talk to you.
• Starting Pay is $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Schedule is a 4-10 schedule. 6am to 4pm weekends off.

• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• + Repair, diagnose, inspect, and maintain all makes and models of trash compactors and vertical bailers.

+ Perform welding and repair of trash containers, trash compactors, and vertical bailers. + Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. + Filling out all paperwork related to service tickets. + Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks. + Provide courteous and professional service. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.

• WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

• + Extensive physical activity.

Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required objects over 50 pounds. + Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually, well-lit and ventilated. Sometimes it is necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

• MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• + Valid Driver's License.

+ Clean driving record. + Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements. + 2 plus years' experience diagnosing and repairing compactors, balers, and/or other industrial equipment. + 1 plus years' experience in stick and MIG welding. + Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. + Ability and willingness for possible travel out of town within the state of AK. + Great customer service skills. + Fabrication experience a plus. + Experience as a field technician a plus.
