About the
Role:
As an Automotive Technician at Maintainer Corporation of Iowa (MCI), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the hydrualic system in our chassis department. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, working closely with the engineering and production teams to install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic components. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality and reliability of our products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. By successfully fulfilling this role, you will directly impact the success of our manufacturing operations and the satisfaction of our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience as a hydraulic technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or certification in hydraulic technology or a related field. Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive or heavy equipment sector. Familiarity with chassis hydraulic systems and their specific requirements. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
Install and wire hydraulic components in chassis according to engineering specifications and diagrams. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions. Perform regular inspections and maintenance of hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential failures. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and implement improvements in hydraulic system design and installation processes. Document all hydraulic work performed, including repairs, modifications, and upgrades, in accordance with company procedures.
