Your expertise will keep our material handling equipment operating smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain pallet jacks and related equipment to ensure seamless logistics operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on approximately 20 electric pallet jacks. Diagnose and repair Yale electric pallet jacks. Occasionally service and repair propane-powered forklifts at our Boston facility. Inspect and replace hydraulic hoses and related hydraulic components. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, brake, steering and charging-system issues. Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records. Identify developing problems before they cause equipment failure or downtime. Recommend required parts and coordinate repairs. Assist with other seafood-processing, warehouse and material-handling equipment if qualified Preferred Qualification Prior forklift, pallet-jack or material-handling equipment repair experience. Experience servicing Yale electric pallet jacks. Knowledge of propane forklift systems. Strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagnostic skills. Experience fabricating or replacing hydraulic hoses is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and manage a preventive-maintenance schedule. Experience with seafood, food-processing, warehouse or refrigerated equipment is a plus. Ability to travel between company locations.POSITION DETAILS
Flexible schedule of approximately one or two days per week as needed. Primary work location in New Bedford, with periodic travel to Chatham and occasional travel to Boston. Travel stipend provided for approved trips to Chatham and Boston. Compensation based on experience.Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per weekBenefits:
