This hands-on role will be responsible for engine assembly for an exciting project. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and technicians to transform designs into functioning hardware, troubleshoot complex build challenges, and support cutting-edge automotive and motorsport applications in a dynamic prototype environment. What You'll Do Assemble and integrate prototype engines, powertrain systems, and vehicle components Support vehicle, engine, and powertrain development programs from concept through testing Perform machining, fabrication, fitting, and modification of prototype components Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and assembly documentation Work with engineers to develop practical assembly and manufacturing solutions Troubleshoot build and integration issues and recommend corrective actions Create and improve build procedures and assembly documentation Support engine dyno, chassis dyno, and vehicle test operations Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and workshop efficiency Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure successful project execution What We're Looking For Intermediate Build Technician 3+ years of experience in automotive, motorsport, manufacturing, prototype build, or related technical environments Experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, or machining Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Familiarity with powertrain, engine, or vehicle systems Senior Build Technician 10+ years of experience in prototype build, machining, fabrication, or powertrain development environments Advanced knowledge of powertrain assembly and prototype manufacturing processes Experience leading complex prototype build projects Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturability principles Ability to develop creative solutions with limited design documentation Experience working directly with engineers and customers on technical projects Why Join Dumarey USA?
