Job Description

Subsidiary:
Aluminum Dynamics Overview:
Facilitate the safe assembly of Chocks for various mill rolls and perform regularly scheduled inspections and maintenance
Responsibilities:
Assemble Chocks by installing bearings and wear liners as needed for all mill rolls Utilizing overhead cranes and mobile equipment for various tasks Inspection, Breakdown, Cleaning and Reassembly of chocks/bearings Input data into RSMS for tracking maintenance intervals and bearing life Support chockers with maintenance of chocks and roll assemblies Effectively work with Supervisor to implement
Best Practices Qualifications:
Required Proven track record in Safety Excellent communication skills and experience Basic computer skills Experience with high levels of responsibility and decision making Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Observant, attention to details and accuracy Must be self-motivated and possess a strong desire for continuous improvement Overtime and weekends may be required Preferred Strong computer skills Previous Bearing Experience Basic welding and machining experience Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
