Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Welder's primary responsibilities consist of maintaining CWP's recycling and trash equipment along with maintaining CWP's customer's trash and recycling equipment. The Welder will also be responsible for assisting in other needs that CWP may have.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Fabricates and welds (Steel and Aluminum). Conducts preventative maintenance of equipment. Installs and removes equipment when needed. Conducts maintenance and repairs on the building. Conducts service calls to customer locations. Completes all tasks following all safety precautions and OSHA regulations. Attends meetings and training sessions. Communicates with all CWP departments on equipment status. Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions :
Exposure to extreme weather conditions. Exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and fumes found in a shop environment. Exposure to residential and commercial waste and recycling. Exposure to equipment traffic. This position requires you to work throughout the shop, warehouse, and the office. This position requires you to travel and work at customer locations. This position requires overnight travel from time to time. This position requires the ability to use office phones, cell phones, fax/copy machines, Internet and service department computer/programs with or without reasonable accommodations. This position requires you to communicate face to face, on the phone, with or without reasonable accommodations. This position requires you to be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, etc. on an as needed basis to meet business demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of welding experience required. Knowledge of welding of recycling and trash equipment. This position requires you to possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
