Travel is required About the Position A company in Darlington, SC is seeking dependable Railroad Track Maintenance Workers to join their team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with railroad, construction, maintenance, or outdoor labor experience who are comfortable performing physically demanding work, traveling to job sites, and working as part of a crew. Responsibilities πŸ› οΈ Install, replace, and repair railroad ties to help maintain safe and efficient railway operations. Remove old railroad spikes and drive new spikes using hand tools and pneumatic equipment. Assist with rail installation, alignment, and maintenance projects. Replace defective ties, fasteners, and other track components. Operate and maintain track tools and equipment, including spike mauls, impact wrenches, and hydraulic tools. Inspect railroad tracks for damage, wear, and safety concerns. Assist with track surfacing, tamping, and general railroad maintenance. Load, unload, and transport track materials and equipment to job sites. Follow all railroad safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards. 🦺 Perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions while meeting project deadlines. Qualifications βœ”οΈ Previous railroad, construction, maintenance, or outdoor labor experience preferred. Ability to safely operate hand tools and pneumatic equipment. Ability to travel to various job sites as required. Ability to work effectively as part of a crew. Strong attention to safety and ability to follow instructions. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable transportation. Pay Details:
