Job Description

The RMA Parts Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of returned exhaust system components to determine condition, identify defects, and support accurate inventory adjustments. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with heavy components, and proficiency with inspection and data‑entry tools. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections on RMA (Return Material Authorization) exhaust system parts. Inspect welding conditions to identify cracks, incomplete welds, or structural concerns. Inspect pipes, catalyzers, hangers, bushings, and all other components within the exhaust system. For catalyzers, verify correct location, structural condition, and any signs of damage or malfunction. Document and maintain accurate records of all defects found during inspection. Identify and summarize the main issues affecting each exhaust system. Perform transactions in the IFS system to adjust inventory levels based on inspection results. Requirements Ability to lift heavy components (20 lbs or more). Ability to use Excel and/or other software tools required for data entry and reporting. Strong visual inspection skills with attention to detail. Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
