Job Description
Inspector My client is seeking an Inspector to join their team in Lincoln, NE. Purpose Conduct bridge and highway inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Perform tasks under moderate supervision, receiving guidance on moderately complex assignments. Work is regularly reviewed by senior staff to ensure adherence to sound techniques and principles. Operational and Client Engagement Collaborate with project managers to communicate significant findings from inspections. Project Execution Conduct inspections for transportation construction projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations. Accurately document project assignments. Prepare inspection and contractor performance reports for project records as needed. Maintain organized project documents and files. Undertake additional duties as assigned. Success Metrics and Competencies Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Capable of managing multiple time-sensitive tasks efficiently. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience with the Department of Transportation (DOT) as a Technical Assistant 2 (TA-2) or higher; or at least two (2) years of experience in transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection; or a minimum of four (4) years in highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design. NICET certification is a plus. DOT Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification is a plus. NECEPT Bituminous Field Certification is a plus. Valid state driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check, or reliable transportation to and from the office and project sites is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$22.50 - $34.00 per hourBenefits:
