About the Role Join our dynamic team as a Construction Field Support Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of public infrastructure construction projects. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly on civil infrastructure sites, supporting project teams with equipment transport, quality control, regulatory compliance, and technical inspections. You will be at the forefront of construction site operations—hauling tool trailers and dump trailers, maintaining inventory, helping to uphold safety standards, interpreting technical plans, and ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have hands-on site support and towing experience, this role is perfect for you!
Responsibilities Equipment & Material Logistics:
Safely transport and haul tool trailers and dump trailers to active job sites. Perform ad-hoc material pickups, site deliveries, vendor returns (including pallet grouping), and debris disposal using company vehicles.
Tool & Inventory Management:
Build and maintain an accurate inventory list of all tools and consumables. Track tool replacement needs and maintain agreed-upon stocking levels.
Site Support & Safety:
Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites, ensuring thorough site cleanup before crews leave the worksite.
Quality Assurance & Inspections:
Assist with interpreting technical plans, conducting final quality checks, and completing punch-list items.
Team Coordination:
Coordinate daily with crew members, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers. Identify construction challenges in the field and promptly escalate them to the Lead Crew Member or management.
General Duties:
Perform other related duties reasonably assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Requirements Age Requirement:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older (required for company driving and insurance eligibility).
Driver's License & Driving Record:
Valid Driver's License (Class D) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Site Operations & Towing Experience:
Proven background working on active construction sites, maneuvering trailers, managing site cleanups, and maintaining overall order.
Inventory & Supply Management:
Ability to track stocking levels, manage tool lists, organize consumables, and process vendor returns efficiently.
Quality Control & Safety:
Sharp eye for detail to perform final inspections, complete punch-list items, and uphold jobsite safety standards.
Communication & Problem Solving:
Strong interpersonal skills to bridge communication between crews, sub-trades, inspectors, and management, with the ability to identify and resolve field challenges quickly.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise directly impacts the delivery of essential public infrastructure projects. We value proactive individuals who are eager to contribute their knowledge of construction practices while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout every phase of the project lifecycle.
