Job Description

Description This position is contingent upon contract award Overview The Damage Control Inspector - Subject Matter Expert Trainer supports Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP) as part of the Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) . The RATT provides direct, Sailor-centric training and technical assistance to surface ships to improve technical proficiency, material condition, organic repair capability, and overall readiness. Serving as the team's damage control inspection specialist, the Damage Control Inspector provides expert-level guidance on shipboard damage control systems, equipment, practices, and procedures. The SME works directly with shipboard personnel to identify equipment and personnel deficiencies, strengthen damage control practices, and improve the ship's overall damage control readiness. Location San Diego, CA, with extensive travel in support of shipboard RATT visits throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations. Requirements Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of supervisory experience in analyses, information system operations, and implementation of technical projects similar to those described in the PWS Extensive Navy technical management experience across multiple ships Extensive experience serving as a shipboard Damage Control supervisor across multiple ships Direct operational and damage control experience within the last five years Current knowledge and experience with advanced damage control practices and procedures used by the U.S. Navy Ability and willingness to support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel for shipboard RATT visits Desired Qualifications 25 or more years of relevant experience Security Clearance Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance If you meet these qualifications and are ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today!
