Job Description

Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Traffic Control Specialist to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic. Traffic Control Certification
REQUIRED
. In this role, you will responsible for implementing and overseeing traffic control operations, lane closures, road closures, setting signs and devices, per MHT's and in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations. Responsibilities Traffic Control Certification
REQUIRED
Currently Certififed as a Traffic Control Supervisor though CCA or ATSSA and be able to maintain certification. Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment. Required to operate pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to standards. Supervise Flaggers and ensure company standards are being complied with. Complete daily logs (vehicle, time, project, etc) timely and accurately.
Maintain a clean job site:
pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage. Load and unload trucks and haul and lift materials. Ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable company, local, state and federal rules and regulations. Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Foreman, Project Supervisor or Safety Manager. Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and updates Monitor work zones continuously for hazards or unsafe conditions and take corrective action as needed Support heavy equipment operators by providing safe access routes for dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, front loader trucks, and other machinery Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, and equipment usage SKILLS Strong knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations Experience working on construction sites with heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and the public Attention to detail in setting up signs, barriers, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Must possess and maintain current CDOT or ATSSA Traffic Control Certification and Traffic Control Certification
REQUIRED.
Pay:
$25.32 - $30.49 per hour
