Job Description

Job Title:
Truck Scale Administrator Job Summary The Truck Scale Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the truck scale system to ensure accurate weight measurements, efficient transaction processing, and exceptional customer service. This role maintains compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements while supporting overall terminal operations. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor truck scale systems to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehicles Record, verify, and process weight tickets and supporting documentation Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal weight regulations Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and system records Coordinate closely with dispatch, warehouse, yard, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow Provide professional and courteous service to truck drivers, vendors, and internal personnel Process cash, credit, and billing transactions, as applicable Identify and troubleshoot minor system or equipment issues; escalate maintenance needs as required Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scale house and surrounding area Assist with audits, reporting, and inventory reconciliation as needed Provide operational support during vessel activities as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred Prior experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or scale operations preferred Basic knowledge of weight regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements preferred Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scale management systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
