Duties Help As aTRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
(GS-2130-09), you will support the Defense Movement Coordinor (DMC) with the planning and preparion of unit movement plans and management of military convoy operions. Work involves developing policies and administering the management of traffic programs, plans and directs traffic operions within the program and performs necessary technical work involved in obtaining economical and efficient transportion of equipment, supplies, and personnel in support of these operions. Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Experience, educion, or training, involving the movement of freight or passengers and determining transportion and opering costs. Experience participing in the direction and coordinion of traffic management functions. Experience interpreting and providing routine aidvice on carrier tariffs and reled routing guides. Interpreting regulions/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, Ste, and local laws and regulions concerning transportion and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendions involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in res and charges. Experience which involved negotiions with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Experience in making effective presentions both orally and in writing. Educion If using educion to qualify for this position: Master's or equivalent gradue degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level gradue educion leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if reledCOMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
