O VERVIEW
The Gaming Systems Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the Internal Control System (ICS), as well as interfacing with the back-office systems (BOS) of the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL). Duties include balancing reports, reporting and documenting incidents, and performing backups and data entry. This position is at-will, and not covered by the South Carolina Employee Grievance Procedures Act. DUTIES Balances Internal Control System ICS and BOS draw financial reports. Performs draw break operations. Monitors ICS and BOS systems performance during data entry, reports noted anomalies. Updates website, phone line and e-mail with draw results. Maintains contact with SCEL Draw Manager and vendor. Performs any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate's Degree in Computer Science/IT OR a High School Diploma, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
The Gaming Systems Operator must have the ability to: (1) deal courteously and effectively with others; (2) understand and comprehend SCEL policies, rules, regulations and procedures; (3) pay close attention to detail; (4) exercise good judgment and discretion; (5) establish and maintain effective working relationships; (6) communicate effectively orally, and in writing, and (7) be proficient with Microsoft Office software suite and apply standard system concepts. A successful candidate will be punctual and reliable in regards to scheduled shifts. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
SCHEDULE
39.50 hours per week Must be able to work both schedules , as outlined below. The current work schedule is in effect through 9/12/2026. The work schedule will change due to a new multi-state game offering, beginning on 9/13/2026, and is expected to remain unchanged thereafter.
