Beaumont, TX Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Qualifications Spreadsheets High school diploma or GED Productivity software General management Full Job Description The Husbandry Port Controller is responsible for husbandry (crew change, spare parts, CTM) activities over selected US Branch. Tasks include but are not limited to. File setup Job input Fee input Data collection and cataloguing AR, AP, and collections Service ordering / vendor payment The Husbandry Port Controller will be expected to monitor operations email account(s). The controller will setup owner's files / calls in Fairwater and Simply5 (if applicable). All spare parts, crew change and CTM requests to be entered into Fairwater / Simply5 or external system. Port Controller will respond to customers direct with PDAs and will monitor flow of funds to ensure advances received. Port Controller will create forms for husbandry tasks (OKTB letters, S5 checklists, I-408s, CTM receipts etc). When PDA is sent, Port Controller will assign jobs to pre-established vendors. Post sailing, the Port Controller will be responsible for fee input and approval, collection and uploading of supporting documents, approval of vendor invoices, and creation & approval of contra invoices. Generating and issuing DAs or husbandry solutions invoices. Assist General Manager's efforts as needed for the development of husbandry solutions. Port Controller will perform many traditional functions of a Port Admin.

Enhanced focus on job setup, vendor selection and job specific instructions Decrease labor commitment needed from port operations staff towards administrative tasks Increased attention by port staff on charterers activities Expedited collections: Better, more accurate and concise DAs Faster DA turnaround with fewer supplementals More vessels receiving advances More complete advances: decreased variance between advance and total disbursements Establish ability to track and maintain job records, number of crew, CTMs etc Work with general manager to establish KPIs for future husbandry solutions personnel Work with management to establish foundation for husbandry solutions activities at ports elsewhere. Requirements:
High school diploma or general equivalency Some college course in business management helpful but not required 2-3 years of Management Experience required Experience in principal accounting preferred Must have advanced familiarity with Agency Now, Fairwater, PAS and Collaborate Must have advanced familiarity with Excel and Microsoft office programs Must be a detailed individual who can direct others in a positive way Must show initiative, and above all a willingness and desire to learn and be involved in something new Ability to remain sedentary for extremely long periods of time Reliable transportation and the ability to work in-office as required
