Job Description

Our client in Everett, WA location is currently hiring for a Flight Controls Engineer. This position is a 100% onsite contract opportunity supporting the design, integration, testing, and certification of flight control systems and components for large commercial aircraft. This role supports production and fleet operations and works cross-functionally with multiple engineering and operational teams. Pay
  • $70.00
  • $80.00/hour (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant job titles) Location
  • Everett, WA (100% Onsite) Schedule
  • Standard Monday
  • Friday (40 hours per week) Responsibilities
  • Decompose airplane-level requirements into system-level and component-level requirements
  • Support system and component certification activities including system safety analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and fault tree analysis
  • Gather, define, and document system-level requirements supporting flight control and mission or trajectory needs
  • Resolve requirement conflicts and perform analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems
  • Participate in system-level and component-level validation, analysis, and testing
  • Monitor tests, analyze results, and author or review test reports
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with avionics, pilot and crew operations, airplane safety, aerodynamics, systems, software suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies
  • Develop technical solutions and support issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work under general direction on complex engineering tasks Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5-7 years of experience working with flight control systems
  • Experience with system safety analysis including failure modes and effects analysis and fault tree analysis
  • Knowledge of ARP 4754 and
ARP 4761
  • Experience with flight control system and component architecture
  • Experience in requirements development, design, analysis, verification, and validation
  • Experience using requirements management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
  • Ability to meet Export Control compliance requirements Disqualifiers
  • Less than 5 years of flight controls experience
  • No experience with system safety analysis methodologies
  • No experience with requirements management tools
  • Inability to work onsite in Everett, WA Employee Value Proposition
