We are currently seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Drivers to support our Veterans Affairs (VA) transportation contracts throughout Southern California. Position Summary Drivers are responsible for transporting Veterans to and from medical appointments while ensuring the highest level of safety, professionalism, and customer service. Drivers provide door-to-door assistance and work closely with dispatch to maintain on-time performance and exceptional patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely transport Veterans to and from medical facilities, homes, hospitals, and other approved destinations. Provide courteous and compassionate service to all passengers. Assist Gurney-bound passengers. Properly secure gurney's and mobility devices using proper tie down procedures. Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the shift. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns immediately. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and VA requirements. Maintain accurate trip documentation and electronic records. Keep vehicles clean, stocked, and ready for service. Adhere to all state and federal traffic laws and defensive driving practices. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 25 years of age. Possess a valid California Driver's License. Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience. Clean driving record with no major violations. Ability to pass a Department of Justice criminal background investigation. Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and GPS navigation systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality are required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Experience working with Veterans, seniors, or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of wheelchair securement procedures. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but can be obtained after hire). Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Ability to assist passengers with mobility devices. Ability to sit, stand, bend, and enter/exit vehicles throughout the workday. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Schedule Full-Time positions available. Multiple shifts available. Weekend and holiday availability may be required. Overtime opportunities (when required) Compensation and Benefits Paid training.
