Parts Runner/Shop Helper Davis Burton Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time $17 - $18 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Job Summary The Parts Runner / Shop Helper is responsible for supporting the shop department and field operations by delivering and picking up parts, supplies, tools, and equipment. This position assists with maintaining an organized shop, keeping inventory stocked, and ensuring mechanics and crews have the materials needed to minimize equipment downtime. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts, tools, materials, and supplies between vendors, the company shop, and job sites. Assist mechanics by locating, organizing, and staging parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance. Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping in accordance with company safety standards. Receive, inspect, unload, and stock incoming deliveries. Operate forklifts, skid steers, or other equipment as needed (training provided if required). Fuel, wash, and perform basic inspections on company vehicles and equipment. Dispose of used oils, filters, tires, scrap metal, and other materials in accordance with environmental and company guidelines. Assist with loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies. Complete errands related to company operations as assigned. Maintain company vehicles in a clean and safe operating condition. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and DOT regulations while operating company vehicles. Perform other duties as assigned to support shop and field operations. Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to safely operate pickup trucks and trailers; experience towing equipment is preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction equipment is a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Frequently lift and carry 50+ lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and work outdoors for extended periods. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
