ASAP Sailfish Point Golf Club is seeking energetic, motivated, and service-oriented individuals to join our Outside Services team at one of the premier private golf clubs in Florida, located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1981, Sailfish Point Golf Club recently completed its second golf course renovation in 2021 and is widely regarded as one of the finest private golf communities in the state of Florida. The Club's primary season runs from October 15 through April 30. The Outside Services team plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional golf experience to our members and guests each day. This is a hands-on position best suited for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, thrive in a fast-paced service environment, and take pride in maintaining high operational standards. Sailfish Point values professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a service-first culture where leadership is demonstrated through daily effort, energy, and attention to detail. Director of Golf Mike Demakos brings experience from prestigious clubs including Augusta National Golf Club, Bel-Air Country Club, East Hampton Golf Club, and 17 years at Nantucket Golf Club. He is highly committed to mentoring aspiring golf professionals and helping them advance into leadership roles within the industry. Currently, at least twelve former staff members have gone on to become Head Golf Professionals at clubs such as Sebonack Golf Club, McArthur Golf Club, Floridian National Golf Club, Sage Valley Golf Club, Charlotte Country Club, and Cabot St. Lucia Golf Club. Experience Required Qualifications Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent communication and member service skills High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Self-motivated, dependable, and highly engaged throughout the workday Professional appearance and demeanor Comfortable performing physical tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to anticipate member needs and multitask efficiently Essential Responsibilities Work Environment & Physical Demands Position is primarily outdoors and requires physical stamina and endurance in varying temperatures and weather conditions Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting throughout the day Ability to regularly lift and transport up to 50 pounds Ability to drive golf carts and operate golf operations equipment Exposure to golf course conditions including vehicle fumes, insects, wildlife, noise, dirt, dust, pollen, pesticides, and cleaning chemicals Requires manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely Purpose of Position Under the direction of the Outside Services Manager and Golf Professional Staff, the Outside Services Attendant is responsible for professionally maintaining the practice facilities, bag storage operation, golf cart fleet, and on-course amenities while providing exceptional service to Club members and guests. This position plays an important role in the daily execution of golf operations and helps ensure Sailfish Point's high standards of professionalism, presentation, and hospitality are consistently maintained. Duties include, but are not limited to: Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner Maintain a visible, engaged, and service-oriented presence throughout the golf operation Assist with staging and presentation of golf carts, practice facilities, and first tee operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bag room, cart barn, practice facilities, club storage areas, and surrounding operational spaces Clean and prepare member and guest golf clubs Retrieve, transport, and properly store golf bags and related equipment Maintain practice facilities including range setup, range ball inventory, divot repair, and cleanliness Assist with maintaining and organizing outside operations equipment and supplies Monitor and restock on-course amenities including water stations, towels, coolers, and supply boxes Communicate effectively with the Golf Shop and other Club departments regarding member and guest activity Address member requests and concerns professionally while communicating operational issues to management Assist with tournament operations, outings, and Club events as directed Assist with golf cart management, cleaning, charging, and fleet presentation Assist with club repair, rental club inventory, and related operational tasks Observe and follow all Club safety practices and protocols Perform additional duties as assigned by the Outside Services Manager or Golf Professional Staff Additional PGA-Related Responsibilities Staff members who are affiliated with the PGA of America or enrolled in the PGA Associate Program will be given additional responsibilities within the Golf Shop operation, including assisting with golf shop coverage, merchandise support, assisting with golf clinics & camps and starter/ranger duties as needed.
