Overview Join our dynamic team as a Valet Trash Collector and become a vital part of maintaining clean, safe, and attractive residential communities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently collecting and disposing of residents' trash in accordance with safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities Operate various types of commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Safely load, unload, and transport waste materials from designated residential areas to disposal sites. Follow established routes for route driving, ensuring timely collection while maintaining a professional driving record. Conduct routine inspections of trucks to ensure mechanical functionality and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation), air brake, and state transportation regulations. Load and unload trash containers with manual effort or mechanical equipment while practicing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, waste quantities collected, and any incidents or vehicle issues encountered during shifts. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' questions or concerns professionally and courteously during collection rounds. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for air brakes and manual transmission preferred; experience operating front loader, rear loader, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including front-end loaders and mechanical knowledge related to garbage trucks. Familiarity with traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocol adherence is essential. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, municipal waste management, or delivery driver roles that involve route driving and load & unload procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong understanding of solid waste management practices and outdoor work experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail for route accuracy, vehicle inspections, and safety compliance. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and hazard awareness during all operations. Pay:
$8.00 - $9.00 per hour
