The Lot Technician for the Service Department moves and cleans vehicles, helps maintain the lot, assists with managing our inventory, and helps the lead lot technicians and department managers as requested. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Clean new and used automobiles, including washing vehicle exteriors using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes. Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris. Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices. Ensure inventory is properly merchandised, cleaned, and displayed for maximum customer appeal in accordance with dealership display standards. Complete multi-point inspection on arriving inventory which includes checking fuel levels and safety features, conducting drivability tests, and ensuring proper display of all company and state disclosures. Ensure vehicles are inspected on a regular basis for mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic concerns. Inspect vehicles to ensure cleanliness before delivery to the customer. Maintain supplies inventory. Keep a neat and orderly lot, moving cars as directed by the managers. Run errands to pick up and/or deliver items as requested. Other duties as assigned.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Comply with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. With team, present recommendations and assist in implementing quality initiatives. Become a brand ambassador by having extensive brand and product knowledge to help cross-sell, up-sell, grow customer relationships and foster loyalty. Create customer and employee interactions that foster positive outcomes. Provide support on any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
Must have one to three months of related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience as a Lot Technician. Must have valid driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract. Experience as a porter, driver, detailer and customer service preferred. Proven record of dependability. Must have the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Must have a superior work ethic and professionalism.
