Service Manager / Service Dispatcher Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Service Porter / Valet to join our busy dealership service department. In this role, you will be the first and last point of contact for our service customers. You will be responsible for managing the flow of vehicles in the service drive, parking and retrieving customer and rental vehicles, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Interaction:
Greet incoming service customers promptly and courteously. Direct them to their assigned Service Advisor.Vehicle Handling:
Safely drive, park, and retrieve customer vehicles, rental cars, and shuttle vans on dealership premises.Service Drive Management:
Maintain continuous traffic flow through the service lane to prevent bottlenecks and ensure an efficient intake process.Service Parking Lot Organization:
Keep the service parking lot organized and ensure designated service parking spaces are used only for service vehicles. Monitor parking areas and relocate vehicles as necessary to maintain proper organization and availability of service spaces.Vehicle Protection & Preparation:
Apply protective covers (seat covers, steering wheel wraps, floor mats) upon vehicle arrival. Ensure vehicles are clean and parked in designated areas after service completion.Service Support:
Assist advisors and technicians with moving vehicles into service bays or staging areas. Transport parts or vehicle keys as needed.Facility Maintenance:
Keep the service lane, customer drop-off area, service parking areas, and valet staging areas clean, organized, and free of debris. Qualifications & RequirementsDriving Record:
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (must pass background check and motor vehicle report).Skills:
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills and a polite, professional demeanor.Physical Demands:
Ability to spend extended periods standing, walking, getting in and out of vehicles, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.Attributes:
