Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Greet Fair visitors, answer questions, provide directions or promotional information. Operate cash registers, card readers or ticketing machines or equipment Assists customers in person with tickets and directions, collect entry fees, issue receipts, and issue change and/ or receipts as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Direct pedestrian or vehicle traffic safely and keep entrance and exit points orderly during high-traffic periods Employee may be required to work irregular hours or overtime and perform duties with minimal supervision. The duties of the Booth Attendant are not limited to those set forth above. The employee will perform such functions as are assigned by a supervisor, consistent with ability, background and expertise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
Willingness to work flexible, non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules
Certification, Skills and Licenses:
Valid Driver's License. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English Must have good basic math skills. Ability to count change.
Physical Functions/Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative and not necessarily exhaustive of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of standing for long periods and able to lift and carry heavy equipment or supplies, typically ranging between 30 lbs. to 70 lbs. depending on the specialty. Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend at the waist, twist/rotate at the waist as needed to perform essential duties. Must be able to work with arms in a bent position or an extended position for up to four hours at one time and eight hours total per day. Must be able to push/pull with arms with an estimated force of up to 5 lbs. periodically.
Mental Functions/Requirements:
Must be able to understand and follow oral directions and instructions. Must be able to read, understand and follow written directions and instructions. Must be able to work with general direction from policies and objectives, with minimal functional guidance. Must be able to plan and prioritize own work. Must demonstrate mental alertness to pay continuous attention to a variety of work. Must be able to work effectively under pressure of deadlines. Must be able to use tact and courtesy in working with a wide range of individuals, including the public, sometimes under tense circumstances.

Ability to perform essential duties and adapt to working conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Performs work mainly outdoors May be exposed to temperature extremes, noise factors, vibrations, except those associated with normal operation of office equipment. Works primarily on even surfaces which are normally dry. May on occasion be wet or slippery. Worker may be required to use stairs, elevator or escalator in the performance of essential duties.
