Valet Bob Johnson Lexus Henrietta, NY Job Details Full-time $16 - $17 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Job Overview The Valet is responsible for the professional greeting of guests, the safe handling of their vehicles, and the efficient management of the parking area. You are the "bookends" of a guest's experience—the first person they see when they arrive and the last person they see when they leave.
Key Duties Vehicle Operation:
Safely operate, park, and retrieve various vehicle types (including manual transmissions and electric vehicles).
Customer Service:
Assist guests with luggage, provide directions, and answer questions about the facility or local area.
Documentation:
Issue parking stubs, perform vehicle damage inspections upon arrival, and manage key organization systems.
Site Maintenance:
Keep the entrance (porte-cochere) clear of traffic, debris, and unauthorized vehicles.
Financial Handling:
In some roles, you may be responsible for processing parking fees or validating tickets. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
