Job Description

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership lot, moving and preparing vehicles, and assisting the sales and service departments with daily operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Move and park vehicles throughout the dealership lot and service areas. Fuel vehicles and check basic vehicle readiness. Keep the dealership lot, parking areas, and vehicle display areas clean and organized. Assist sales staff with locating and positioning vehicles. Transport vehicles between dealership locations, service areas, body shops, and other designated locations as needed. Assist with customer vehicle deliveries and pickups. Maintain keys and ensure vehicles are parked in their designated locations. Report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, or safety issues to management. Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures. Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers and dealership employees. Perform other duties assigned by management. Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate vehicles. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and entering/exiting vehicles. Work Environment This position primarily works outdoors on the dealership lot and may also work in vehicle service, detailing, and showroom areas. The employee may be exposed to hot, cold, wet, and other weather conditions. Position Expectations Expected to maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate safe driving practices, protect customer and dealership property, and provide dependable support to all dealership departments.
