BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This is a non-supervisory position that involves a combination of duties, which include (but are not limited to); collecting fees, working in the grill area, driving the food and beverage cart, preparing and serving food, selling, preparing and renting equipment and supplies, cleaning and moving golf carts, trash removal, assisting in maintain the golf course, practice range, clubhouse and other facilities and programs at the golf course This position can serve in a variety of locations at the golf course to meet the needs of the operation of the entire facility, , including (but not limited to) the golf shop, the food & beverage area, cart barn, practice range and on the golf course. •No minimum number of hours guaranteed•
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to perform all food service related tasks Knowledge of food handling and TABC regulations Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions Ability to correctly perform event table set-ups, including proper preparation and presentation Ability to interact with event coordinators General knowledge of golf equipment and supplies Ability to make change accurately and receive and account for money Ability to meet and work with the general public in a friendly and courteous manner Ability to work effectively with minimum direct supervision Knowledge of event menu items and ingredients Knowledge of food preparation and serving both food and alcoholic beverages
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred but not required; experience in food service is desirable; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED A
Valid Class C Texas motor vehicle driver license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record. Will be required to obtain and maintain Food Handlers card and TABC certification within thirty (30) days of employment, training is provided.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS
Primarily in an indoor environment with the ability to operate outdoors when needed. May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Standard office equipment including multi-line telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, scanner, printer, etc. Beverage golf cart, driving range golf cart, golf cart, cleaning and sanitizing aides, food service products and tools, etc.
