Driver's License Full Job Description Mechanic Shop Helper Position Summary:

The Mechanic Shop Helper supports the daily operations of the shop by assisting technicians, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a valid driver's license, and an interest in the automotive industry.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Pick up and drop off customers safely and professionally. Pick up automotive parts and supplies from vendors. Clean and organize the shop, office, and customer waiting area. Test drive vehicles before and after repairs as directed. Move vehicles around the shop and parking lot. Wash and prepare customer vehicles when needed. Maintain shop cleanliness, including emptying trash and keeping work areas organized. Assist technicians with basic shop tasks as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Friendly, professional attitude with good customer service skills. Automotive experience is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to learn the automotive repair business while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay:

$12.00 - $17.00 per hour
