Job Description

Hospital Valet Attendant Job Summary As a Hospital Valet Attendant, you are the first person a guest interacts with when they arrive to Shannon Memorial Hospital. In this role you will improve parking experience by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with patients, families, and guests. You will also park and drive patient and guests' vehicles with our ticket system. Alongside your fellow team members, you will elevate our guest experience and promote Shannon's values and culture.
Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions In this role, you will improve the parking experience by providing directions, answering questions, parking vehicles, using our 4 Part ticket system and assisting our guests. Parking vehicles while abiding by all Shannon parking policies, state, and local traffic laws. Must be able to operate a manual transmission and or automatic transmission vehicle. Greet patients and guests as they arrive to Shannon Memorial Hospital. The ability to drive and park a standard vehicle. Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist patients and guests in entering or exiting our facility or parking lot. Answer general inquiries such as transportation options, directions, and parking Assist with patients, visitors, and guests to the parking lot or main hospital facility; please note this includes wheelchair assistance if requested by the patient or guest. Retrieving parked vehicles via communication of phone or in-person by guest, patient, or visitor. Being compassionate when patients or visitors may not understand our system or policies, be calm and understanding of their situation but making ethical and sound decisions when interaction with patients or visitors.
