Job Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Valet Attendant who possess a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and the care and empathy necessary in a hospital setting. The Valet Attendant safely, courteously and efficiently handles the parking needs of patients, visitors, physicians and volunteers; is responsible to assist guests in a timely manner; manages valet tracking and data needs. Assist guests in and out of their vehicles, assisting with assistive devices, including obtaining wheelchairs. Valet Attendants, to the extent possible, ensures safety of patients, visitors and employees from harm, and reasonable fear of harm, while in valet area; must be able to handle difficult customer service issues. In the event of disaster, or threat to the hospital, this position will convert to a security role. Must be able to complete required reports legibly, accurately and timely. Report and complete reports relevant to acts of vandalism of accidents by our customers involving valet parked vehicles. Prohibit smoking at valet service area and direct guests to the designated smoking areas.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification/Registration:
Possess a valid Operators License with a clean criminal and motor vehicle record. Must meet hospital insurance carrier requirements.
Experience:
Up to 1 year experience required. 1 - 2year of position-relation experience preferred.
