Job Description
The Driver - Shuttle Bus is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from various locations on casino grounds. This position ensures timely and courteous service, with a strong focus on guest safety and comfort, especially for individuals with special needs. The role also includes basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides shuttle transportation services for guests, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout all routes. Assists guests with special needs, including the safe loading and unloading of wheelchairs, mobility devices, and related equipment. Performs pre-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks, reporting any maintenance or mechanical concerns to a supervisor. Maintains cleanliness of the shuttle vehicle, including routine interior and exterior cleaning. Adheres to all traffic laws and company driving policies. Communicates with dispatch and supervisors regarding route status or guest concerns. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record. Ability to assist and communicate effectively with passengers, including those with disabilities. Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Must be able to work independently and in varying weather conditions. Must possess 20/20 vision, with or without corrective lenses. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous commercial driving experience preferred. Valid Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement required prior to start date.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with passengers, dispatch, security, and management; responsible for providing information, answering guest inquiries, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment aboard the shuttle.Lifting and Carrying:
Occasionally lifts and carries luggage, personal items, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; may assist guests with loading and unloading belongings.Manual Dexterity:
Regularly uses hands and fingers to operate vehicle controls, radios, and lift mechanisms with precision and safety.Mobility:
Frequently enters and exits the shuttle bus and assists guests; requires sitting for extended periods while driving, as well as bending, lifting, and stepping in and out of the vehicle as needed.Stationary Work:
Frequently remains seated while operating the shuttle for extended routes or periods of time.Tool Operation:
Regular use of shuttle vehicle controls, communication radios, wheelchair lifts (if applicable), and basic safety equipment; responsible for conducting pre- and post-shift inspections and reporting maintenance issues.Visual Acuity:
Requires excellent near and far vision to monitor road conditions, read traffic signs, watch for pedestrian activity, and safely navigate property and surrounding roadways.Working Conditions:
Routinely works in a moving vehicle with exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, cold), traffic hazards, and guest interactions. Regular exposure to a smoking environment while transitioning through casino or public areas.WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.WORKING HOURS
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
