Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Job description: Position purpose/Job summary The school van driver is responsible for responsibly and reliably driving the designated routes from SLO to North County and back to SLO to transport SLOCA students in the mornings, Monday to Thursday (from approximately 7:00 am to 8:15 am), through the end of the school year (June 2026). The driver will be reporting to the Athletic Director.
Education and Experience Required:
Have a valid California driver's license Have been driving for a minimum of 3 years Have a clean driving record for at least 1 year Have completed CPR & 1st Aid training 21 years of age or older Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings Duties & Responsibilities We expect the driver to: Report to duty on time and provide a safe and reliable transportation of students from North County to SLOCA. Follow SLOCA's internal processes regarding the use of the school vehicle and student management. Drive safely and sober. Respect traffic laws and fellow drivers. Avoid double-parking, blocking entrances, and engaging in any other traffic violations that may result in fines. If applicable, wear corrective lenses (i.e., glasses, contact lenses). Document and provide receipts for any driving-related expenses (i.e., fuel, toll charges). Check the van regularly to ensure gas, tire pressure, and all car fluids are at appropriate levels. Report any damages or problems with their assigned vehicle to the Athletic Director as soon as possible.
