Full Job Description Description:
Vivalon is seeking a caring and dependable Special Needs Attendant to support our adult clients with disabilities during transit. This vital role assists drivers in ensuring safe, respectful, and comfortable transportation. Why Join Vivalon? Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and assist clients during transit Support drivers with safe loading and unloading of passengers Properly use safety restraints, wheelchair securements, and seat belts Demonstrate empathy and understanding for individuals with disabilities Maintain professional and respectful interactions with clients, coworkers, and community members Follow all health and safety policies and procedures Communicate client concerns to drivers and management
Requirements:
Friendly, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service Genuine desire to help others and support individuals with disabilities Valid California Driver's License or California ID Card Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to attend a 5-day paid training in San Rafael, CA (commute stipend provided) Provide two professional references Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and comply with random testing per federal regulations Ability to pass a background check (Safety Sensitive position) Vivalon is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
