In this role, you will operate various types of vehicles, including shuttle buses, vans, Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our organization, delivering exceptional service and ensuring passenger comfort and safety at all times. Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles including shuttle buses, and paratransit vehicles to transport passengers or goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, tires, and overall vehicle condition. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, maintenance needs, and passenger manifests as required. Communicate clearly with passengers or clients to provide directions, answer questions, and address any concerns professionally. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Skills Proven experience as a driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or in a similar commercial driving role. Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices across different vehicle types. Excellent communication skills for interacting with passengers and team members effectively. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting skills. Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional appearance and demeanor. Valid Iowa driver's license Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
