The Opportunity:

Whittier Street Health Center is seeking Security Attendants to join our team in a variety of capacities, including Lobby Attendant, Security/Maintenance, and Mobile Health Van Driver support roles. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while serving as a key front-line representative of the Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a visible security presence and monitor building access and activity Greet and assist patients and visitors; verify appointments and direct traffic Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies as needed Patrol premises to ensure safety and prevent theft or misconduct Provide excellent customer service and support patient inquiries Escort patients when needed and assist with general navigation of the facility Support administrative or operational needs across departments

Role-Specific Responsibilities May Include:

Maintenance Support:

light cleaning, restocking, monitoring facility conditions

Mobile Unit Support:

driving and maintaining the health center's mobile van, assisting patients during transport and outreach events

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required 3-5 years of experience in security or related field Strong knowledge of security procedures and emergency response Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in high-pressure situations Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) BLS certification preferred Additional Qualifications (Role-Dependent): Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for mobile unit roles) Basic maintenance or facilities experience (for maintenance roles) Join Our Team!
