In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely operating a sprinter or cargo van to transport goods efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities Safely operate a cargo van or sprinter van, including manual transmission vehicles, on assigned routes to deliver goods promptly and accurately. Load and unload cargo on occasion. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation accurately. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe driving environment. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before each shift. Maintain detailed logs of routes driven, deliveries made, and any incidents or delays encountered. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities. Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading and unloading tasks efficiently. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and moving heavy items safely is essential. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is preferred.
