75 per hourJob description: Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and responsible 7D Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers while providing a positive and educational experience during transportation. This role involves driving vans for special education students and students with disabilities, while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Must have all required certifications.

$20.75 to $24.75 based on experience7D Van Hours Vary Between 25-30 Hours per Week

• Morning and Afternoon RunsOptional Summer Run AvailableRequired when available to drive School Events & Field trips, including Athletics, all year round.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the bus according to established routes and schedules
• Ensure the safety of all passengers, particularly children and seniors, by adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Manage behavior on the bus by implementing effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate clearly with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes in service
• Assist passengers as needed, including helping children board and exit the bus safely
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle through regular inspections and reporting any issues
• Educate passengers on safety protocols while using the bus service
• Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, fostering a welcoming environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in school bus driving or similar roles is preferred
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle various passenger needs
• Experience in childcare or senior care is a plus
• Ability to drive safely and responsibly under various conditions
• Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers of all ages effectively
• A commitment to educating passengers about safety practices during transit.
