Hotel ↔ Mayo Clinic Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, professional, and guest-focused Hotel Shuttle Driver to provide safe and courteous transportation for hotel guests traveling primarily to and from the Mayo Clinic. Because many of our guests rely on the shuttle to arrive on time for scheduled medical appointments, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements of this position . The Shuttle Driver must consistently report to work on time and be prepared to begin the scheduled shuttle route promptly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent hospitality, and understands the importance of safe, dependable transportation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely transport hotel guests between the hotel and designated Mayo Clinic pickup and drop-off locations. Report for every scheduled shift on time and ready to begin work at 5:45 AM . Follow the hotel's established shuttle schedule and routes to ensure guests arrive at appointments and other destinations as promptly as possible. Provide friendly, courteous, patient, and accommodating service to all guests. Assist guests with entering and exiting the shuttle when appropriate. Assist with luggage, mobility equipment, and other reasonable guest needs when safely able to do so. Maintain professional communication with the hotel front desk regarding shuttle locations, pickups, delays, guest requests, and schedule changes. Conduct required pre-trip or routine vehicle safety checks and promptly report mechanical or safety concerns to management. Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the shuttle, including the passenger area. Follow all traffic laws, hotel safety procedures, transportation requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Immediately report accidents, citations, vehicle damage, safety incidents, or other significant concerns to management. Represent the hotel professionally and provide a welcoming, positive experience for guests. Qualifications & Requirements Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated. Clear and acceptable driving record for the previous three years , including being free from disqualifying or serious driving violations. Ability to successfully complete required criminal background and driving-record checks . Must meet all applicable Minnesota requirements governing the operation of the hotel's shuttle vehicle. Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate is strongly preferred and may be required depending upon the vehicle and applicable state/federal transportation requirements. Ability and willingness to comply with applicable driver qualification requirements, including medical certification requirements when applicable. Previous professional driving, hotel, hospitality, transportation, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, coworkers, and management. Must demonstrate safe and defensive driving practices at all times. Reliability & Attendance Exceptional attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. The hotel shuttle serves many guests traveling to the Mayo Clinic for medical appointments with specific scheduled arrival times. A late or absent shuttle driver can directly affect a guest's ability to arrive for an important appointment. The successful candidate must therefore be able to consistently report for scheduled shifts at 5:45 AM Monday through Friday and maintain dependable attendance. Guest Service Expectations Our Shuttle Driver is often one of the first and last hotel employees our guests interact with during their day.

Physical Requirements The employee must be able to safely operate the shuttle vehicle for extended periods and perform the essential functions of the position. The position may require periodically lifting or handling guest luggage and assisting with mobility devices within reasonable and safe limits.
