Job Description

Van Driver Location:
2317 Countryside Drive, Fremont, OH 43420
Schedule:
Varies (Morning, Afternoon, and Evening Shifts Available)
Weekly Hours:
0 - 30 hours per week, as needed
Pay Rate:
$19.61 per hour Work When You're Available!
Position Overview:
Provide safe, reliable transportation services to individuals traveling to work, school, medical appointments, and other approved destinations. Operate agency vehicles in compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and program requirements while delivering excellent customer service. Why Work for GLCAP? Education:
High school diploma or
GED Experience:
At least five years of experience operating a motor vehicle. Experience using navigation systems and computer, tablet, or other digital communication tools required. One year of transportation service experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety rules. Conduct pre-trip safety inspection and maintain vehicle in prime operating condition; keep vehicle clean inside and out. Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle; secure passenger's equipment. Ensure passengers pay the correct fare, either by handling cash or obtain client initials or signatures and other documentation of daily route. Provide transportation to individuals per requirements of funding agency or other contracting agencies. Follow real-time mobile updates to schedule, routes and pickup/drop-off destinations. Maintain communication with dispatch through radio, tablet, and other approved devices for timely updates and information. Follow all policies and procedures regarding incidents and accidents. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use. Initial and periodic physical exams required. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing. Must submit to state and/or federal criminal checks.
