Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Wheelchair Van Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients with mobility challenges to medical appointments, community activities, and other destinations. Your enthusiasm for customer service, combined with your driving expertise, will ensure a comfortable and secure experience for every passenger. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vans equipped with wheelchair lifts and securement systems, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and traffic regulations. Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times. Navigate local driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation tools to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled destinations. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent customer service, addressing their needs courteously and professionally. Adhere strictly to state transportation regulations, medical transportation guidelines, and company policies during all driving activities. Document trips accurately, including passenger details, route information, and any incidents or concerns encountered during shifts. Requirements Proven delivery driver experience or shuttle driving background preferred; experience in bus driving or limousine services is a plus. Valid driver's license Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and local driving routes to optimize efficiency. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as loading/unloading mobility devices and assisting passengers safely. Experience in medical transportation or passenger van operation is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Demonstrated adherence to traffic laws, safety protocols, and state transportation regulations. Capable of heavy lifting when necessary and maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
