Van Driver for Before & After Care Program
WHAT YOU MUST KNOW
This position is supporting a new initiative at York Day Early Learning to provide Before & After School Care to school-age students attending York Academy Regional Charter School. The successful candidate must hold a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License, and will need to have an acceptable Driver History Report produced from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Morning arrival time:
7:15am. Typically one run, and completed by 7:45am.
Afternoon arrival time:
2:00pm. Typically two runs, and completed by 4:00pm. General Position Description We are seeking trustworthy and responsible Driver to aid our Before & After School Care Program, which serves school-age students at York Academy Regional Charter School. You will ensure their safe commute from York Academy to York Day Early Learning. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old with a completed High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic schedule. CPR and First Aid certification (may be required; training provided if needed). Hold a valid PA Drivers license and be comfortable driving a van-style motor vehicle.
Work Schedule:
Seasonal position: August 10, 2026 - May 28, 2027 2:30 p.m. up until 5:30 p.m. York Academy has early dismissal Wednesdays, which will require starting at NOON for the following: August 19, September 9 & 23, October 7 & 21, November 11 & 25, December 9 & 23, January 6 & 20, February 3 & 17, March 3 & 17, April 7, and May 5. Availability for additional hours on school closure days: October 22 & 23, 2026. December 28 - 31, 2026. March 18 & 19, 2027. May 27 & 28, 2027 Physical Requirements Must be sufficiently mobile to circulate throughout the facility as needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion and to lift children of various sizes. Sufficient vision and hearing to effectively address the needs of the children, staff, and parents.

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
