Job Description

Cambria Suites of Rapid City, SD is seeking friendly and courteous individuals for an open van driver position. The shift we have available is a morning position starting at 4:30AM with a starting pay of $15 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY
The Shuttle Driver's primary responsibility is to safely transport guests to and from the airport and/or local destinations in a friendly and courteous manner. This position also provides luggage assistance and information to guests.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
1. Must have the ability to provide professional and courteous guest service. 2. Must have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 3. Must have good organizational skills and have the ability to multitask. 4. Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing. 5. High school diploma or equivalent required. 6. Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license with no accidents or driving violations within the last 12 months. 7. Chauffer's endorsement or CDL preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assists all guests in a professional and courteous manner. 2. Ensures guests are greeted upon arrival and interacts effectively with guests. Responds appropriately to guest complaints and solicits feedback. 3. Professionally and competently operates the shuttle according to brand standards while adhering to all applicable traffic laws. 4. Fills out all required logs and completes safety checks of the shuttle. Ensures that there is gas in the shuttle and that it is clean and presentable for guests. 5. Maintains knowledge of the hotel as well as area services and facilities to effectively assist guests. 6. When not transporting guests, ground keeping, light cleaning of guest public areas and/or laundry duties are expected to be completed. 7. Acquires working knowledge of property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively. 8. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests. 9. Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken. 10. Performs all other duties as assigned.
