Shuttle Driver AVID Parking Fort Worth, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract From $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Route driving Outdoor work In-person customer service Driver's License Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Shuttle Driver to safely transport passengers using a GEM electric shuttle vehicle in a busy downtown environment. This role is responsible for providing reliable transportation while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, has a positive attitude, exercises good judgment, and is comfortable navigating areas with both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a GEM electric shuttle vehicle on designated routes and within assigned service areas. Transport passengers efficiently while providing a friendly, courteous, and professional experience. Assist riders with boarding and exiting the shuttle when needed. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and operational guidelines. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Keep the shuttle clean, organized, and ready for service throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational needs or route adjustments. Immediately report accidents, incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions. Support special events and increased passenger demand during peak periods. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate a low-speed electric vehicle in a downtown or pedestrian-heavy environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Previous experience in hospitality, transportation, or customer service is preferred but not required. Must successfully pass any required background screening and drug testing. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to frequently enter and exit the vehicle. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly with passengers and coworkers. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Environment Primarily outdoors in an active downtown setting. Frequent interaction with pedestrians, visitors, tenants, and guests. May require working evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on operational needs. Job Type Part-Time or Full-Time Schedule Day Shift Evening Shift Weekends Holidays and Special Events as Needed Preferred Experience Customer service: 1 year (preferred) Safe driving experience: 1 year (preferred) Experience operating golf carts, GEM vehicles, or passenger shuttles is a plus.
