Job Description
Pacesetter Personnel Services is currently hiring a Van Driver Floater for DFW in Texas. Monday- Friday 4:30 am-until finished Must be able to work on the weekends as well. We are seeking a dedicated Van Driver Floater to join our transportation team. This versatile role involves operating passenger vans and shuttle vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of traffic regulations and safety protocols. Duties Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, and other commercial vehicles on designated local routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and transportation regulations. Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers, ensuring a positive experience during each trip. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness; report any maintenance issues promptly. Manage GPS navigation systems effectively to follow assigned routes efficiently while accommodating route changes as needed. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports for record-keeping and compliance purposes. Communicate clearly with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules, delays, or route adjustments. Support other drivers by covering various routes or shifts as required to ensure continuous service coverage. Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies to uphold safety standards at all times. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or bus driver is highly desirable; familiarity with passenger vehicle operation is essential. Proven ability to operate different types of passenger vehicles, such as shuttle buses, school buses, or medical transportation vans. Experience with GPS navigation tools and route planning software. Knowledge of local driving routes and traffic patterns to optimize efficiency. Demonstrated understanding of vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during loading/unloading activities. Familiarity with state transportation regulations governing commercial driving and passenger safety. Previous roles involving chauffeur driving or paratransit services are advantageous.
