$15.50 per hour
Driving Experience:
3 years minimum Work Outdoors and Stay Active on Second Shift Road & Rail Services is hiring reliable Vehicle Shuttle Drivers for our Houston automotive operation. This position is a good fit for people who enjoy working outside, driving throughout the workday and night-time, and staying active in a fast-moving environment. You will move vehicles between designated locations within our customer's facility and help keep the vehicle yard organized. The work is performed primarily outdoors during the evening shift, so candidates must be comfortable working in Houston's heat, humidity, rain, cold, and changing weather conditions. What You'll Do Drive vehicles safely between production, storage, staging, and shipping areas Follow assigned routes, parking instructions, and yard procedures Park vehicles accurately in designated spaces Inspect vehicles for visible damage before and after movement Report damage, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly Assist with vehicle counts and inventory verification Record vehicle movement information accurately Walk between parking areas and transportation points throughout the shift Work closely with drivers, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals Maintain a clean work area and assist with general yard duties Follow all company, customer, and industry safety requirements What You'll Need Valid driver's license At least three years of licensed driving experience Safe and responsible driving history Ability to work a consistent second-shift schedule Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, and enter and exit vehicles repeatedly Willingness to work in a high-volume automotive environment Strong attention to detail when parking and inspecting vehicles Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Professional attitude and safety-first approach Benefits Eligible employees may receive: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company matching Paid holidays Paid vacation Annual safety shoe or work boot allowance Company-provided personal protective equipment Training and career development opportunities Advancement through our promote-from-within culture Veteran-friendly workplace Build Your Career with Road & Rail Services Since 1987, Road & Rail Services has provided automotive, rail, and industrial logistics support throughout North America.
